15:34 30/08/2011

MOSCOW, August 30 - RAPSI, Dmitry Shchitov. The East Siberian District Federal Court has reaffirmed the validity of the Federal Antimonopoly Services (FAS) order stating that the TGK-14 utility company breached competition law, the service reports.

Competition law was violated due to the utilitys abuse of its dominant market position.

TGK-14 imposed on its partners technical standards in the design of thermal power metering stations that put them at a disadvantage, and which were not required by regulations.

Antimonopoly watchdog ordered TGK-14 to stop the violations.

TGK-14 appealed the order in court.

The utility owns thermal power stations in Buryatia and the Trans-Baikal Territory. It is the smallest Russian territorial power generating company with a total capacity of 639 MWt. Its charter capital is 1.357 billion rubles ($48.5 million), divided into 1.357.000 billion common shares with a par value of 0.001 ruble each.
