MOSCOW, July 22 (RAPSI, Lyudmila Klenko) – Defense of the head of Russian Investigative Committee’s Internal Security’s Directorate, Mikhail Maksimenko, suspected of receiving large-scale bribe, has appealed his detention, RAPSI learned from the Lefortovsky District Court of Moscow’s press-service.

On Wednesday, deputy head of the Investigative Committee’s Moscow Directorate, Denis Nikandrov, along with several of his high-ranking colleagues, including Maksimenko, were detained for one month and 27 days.
