Commercial court refuses to recover $20 mln from ex-CEO of major Russian insurer
MOSCOW, December 5 (RAPSI) – The Moscow Regional Commercial Court has dismissed a claim filed by Rosgosstrakh, one of the largest insurance companies in Russia, seeking to collect 1.35 billion rubles ($20 million) from its ex-CEO, according to court records.
Rosgosstrakh has asked the court to recover from the defendant damages resulted from the sale of 100% of the shares to Rosgosstrakh-Armenia.
Markarov is one of the founders of the Industrial Insurance Company and the Military Insurance Company (VSK). He is a member of various State Duma and ministries’ expert councils.
