MOSCOW, May 6 (RAPSI) – The Moscow Commercial Court has extended bankruptcy proceedings against a full-service engineering company Е4 Group for 6 months, RAPSI has learnt in the court.

The court has therefore granted a motion by the company’s bankruptcy supervisor Igor Vyshegorodtsev.

As part of the bankruptcy case, Redeliaco Holdings and Alfa-Bank have filed a claim to recover 33.6 billion rubles collectively from ex-Russian Minister for Open Government affairs Mikhail Abyzov, who headed Е4 Group from July 2007 to mid-January 2012, Andrey Malyshev and Yekaterina Sirotenko, in favor of the engineering company. The claim will be considered on May 22.

The Moscow Commercial Court declared Е4 Group bankrupt in November 2016.

Abyzov is currently a defendant in a 4-billion-ruble ($62 million) embezzlement case. The former minister was arrested and detained in late April along with his alleged accomplices, president of the Novosibirsk Regional Sambo Federation Nikolay Stepanov, board chairman of the First Construction Fund Alexander Pelipasov, deputy CEO of Ru-Com company Maxim Rusakov and finance director of REMIS firm Galina Fraidenberg. According to the Investigative Committee, one more defendant Sergey Ilichev, who had absconded investigators, was arrested later.

According to investigators, between April 2011 and November 2014, Abyzov, the owner of several offshore companies, organized and headed a criminal group. The defendant along with his accomplices allegedly embezzled 4 billion rubles from Novosibirsk Region’s Siberian Energy Company and Regional Electrical Services generation and transmission corporations and transferred the money abroad.
