Bill permitting companies to use only e-document flow to be submitted to State Duma
MOSCOW, March 1 (RAPSI) – Senator Nikolai Zhuravlev and the head of the Financial Markets Committee of the lower house of the Russian Parliament Anatoly Aksakov have developed a bill on the use and storage of electronic documents by financial organizations.
According to a statement of the Federation Council, the upper house of the Russian Parliament, the bill is ready to be submitted to the State Duma.
The bill developed in the framework of the Digital Economy program envisages that financial organizations will be able to become fully digital as concerns their document management. It is proposed to introduce certain relevant amendments to a range of federal laws in order to permit creation of electronic copies of documents across various sectors of the economy.
As a result, the authors of the bill believe, e-copies should become legitimate replacements of paper documents.
